STACEY UEBERSAX PsyD
I am a licensed psychologist and have been in private practice since 2005. I received my doctorate in clinical psychology from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. My clinical training has been both diverse and specialized. I’ve worked in a variety of settings including urban hospitals, community mental health centers, private residential treatment centers, social services agencies, city school systems, and a university counseling center.
I have extensive training in the treatment of eating disorders and the majority of my practice is devoted to this area. Before entering private practice I worked at The Renfrew Center in Coconut Creek, Florida as well as The Center for Eating Disorders at Sheppard Pratt in Towson, Maryland. I am passionate about promoting positive body image and empowering young girls and women. Currently, I see most people for individual, long-term therapy and utilize evidenced based treatments for disordered eating. I work within the context of a multi-disciplinary team approach including registered dietitians who specialize in eating disorders, as well as psychiatrists and primary care providers.
Additionally, I work with parents and partners who have a loved one in treatment for an eating disorder, providing education and support. I am also passionate about helping people who have been in recovery for years but who find themselves struggling again in mid-life. I do not participate with insurance, but provide documentation needed for out of network reimbursement.
