LUNA HAMMOND, M.Ed., M.S.
Luna Hammond is a psychotherapist who offers a positive perceptive, believing that people come to counseling because they want to lead happier, more content, richer and fuller lives. Working in a traditional conversational style, her practice is highly individualized, offering insights, support, and suggestions that are unique for each client. Typically, clients say that what makes their experience with Luna special is that they feel profoundly understood, and many express new-found feelings of hope and contentment. Working collaboratively and in a thoughtful relationship, Luna offers clients a safe place to explore the more difficult stumbling blocks of their lives.
Luna’s primary approach is Existential Humanism, which places emphasis on the universal experiences of being human, including how to manage suffering, experiences of isolation, creation of meaningful relationships, finding one’s true purpose. In addition to holding a Masters in Mental health from Johns Hopkins, Luna also has a Masters in Education from Goucher College. She attended Sarah Lawrence College.
