Psychotherapy is an approach that uses talk, mindfulness, and somatic techniques to address various mental and emotional issues. Psychotherapy can assist a person in integrating and healing past and current issues, and creating an intentional future. It can be helpful for people with a range of concerns including, but not limited to, depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction, low self-esteem, relationship and family issues, worrying, or difficulty concentrating. Different than psychiatry, psychotherapy uses talking and holistic techniques to address these issues rather than medication. It helps people learn skills that can then help them better cope with their thoughts, feelings, relationships, and lives in general.
